Pay the Dutch way: Finom integrates iDEAL payments

We are thrilled to announce that Finom joins an exclusive group of approximately 20 institutions, including major banks and fintech services, that offer iDEAL transactions. Finom customers in the Netherlands can already use their Finom account to make secure, fast iDEAL payments.

A key feature for the Dutch market

iDEAL is the most popular and trusted payment method in the Netherlands. It allows users to pay directly from their bank accounts – this means you can now use your Finom account as your primary source for iDEAL, whether you’re paying counterparties or handling online purchases.

How it works

The process is straightforward and built for speed and efficiency:

Select iDEAL as a payment method on any website that supports it.
Choose Finom from the bank list. This automatically redirects you to the Finom mobile app. If you’re on desktop, you can scan a QR code via the app to authorize the payment.
Review and confirm the transaction details in your Finom app.

Once you approve the transaction, the payment goes through immediately. No waiting, no extra steps.

Built for Dutch businesses

All Finom users from the Netherlands can already access iDEAL. To keep things secure and properly managed, only owners and managers of a Finom account can initiate transactions.
