Most of what fills your day isn't the work you started the business to do. It's the invoice that still needs sending, the payment waiting on one more confirmation code, the money sitting still in an account.

This month's updates go after that part. Some of the routine is now handled for you, some of it takes fewer steps than it did, and the app itself is easier to move around. Here's what's worth trying.

A clearer Finom interface, on web and mobile

We’ve reworked how Finom is organised so you can get a better sense of your finances at a glance and find what you’re looking for faster.

The changes are broad – clearer overviews, better signposting to features you might not have found yet, plainer copy, and fewer competing buttons on screen. The goal is simple: fewer places to hunt through, faster answers.

The biggest single change on mobile is the new Pay tab. Paying suppliers now has its own home in the main navigation, bringing supplier invoices and outgoing payments together with a clear view of what needs paying and quick actions to handle it. It replaces the Expenses section, which used to sit tucked away in the More menu.

Investments: put your business cash to work

Cash sitting in a current account earns very little. Moving it somewhere that earns more has usually meant an external platform, a separate onboarding, and money leaving your business account.

Investments changes that. You can move surplus EUR balances into a Money Market Fund directly inside Finom and earn up to 2.1% on cash that would otherwise generate nothing, depending on your plan.

What is a Money Market Fund?

Money Market Funds are regulated investment vehicles that invest in short-term, high-quality instruments such as government bonds and treasury bills. Three things worth knowing:

1️⃣Low risk, not zero risk: MMFs are not deposit accounts. Returns can vary, though these assets are designed for stability.

2️⃣Built for liquidity: Unlike fixed-term deposits, MMFs are structured so funds can be accessed at any time.

3️⃣Historically higher returns: Over time, MMFs have offered returns above standard accounts.

Ready to invest in minutes

Get started directly from your Finom account ➡️ Choose how much you'd like to invest in the MMF ➡️ Fund your investment using your Finom wallet ➡️ Track your portfolio right in your Finom account ➡️ Submit withdrawal orders when you’re ready.

Built on infrastructure you can trust

You invest in the BlackRock ICS Euro Liquidity Fund – one of the world’s largest and most trusted money market funds. Orders are executed by Aksys, an EU-licensed, MiFID-regulated broker already trusted by thousands of Finom clients through the Interest Wallet.

It all runs on the same Finom platform you already use for your business finances: no new apps, no separate logins, and clean activity records for your reporting.

Investments sits alongside the Interest Account rather than replacing it. The Interest Account is built for predictability and everyday cash. Investments is for cash you don’t need immediately and are willing to put to work for a potentially higher return.

Important: capital at risk. Money Market Funds are not deposit accounts and are not a guaranteed investment. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results. Terms and conditions apply.

Finom AI now does your invoicing

Finom AI started as a way to ask questions about your finances. Now it can act on invoicing for you, only after your explicit approval.

Ask it to create an invoice for a client, email that invoice out, or send a reminder on one that’s gone unpaid – all from the chat, without opening the invoicing section. The kind of follow-up that’s easy to postpone becomes a single sentence.

Small payments, fewer steps

European payment rules (PSD2) allow certain low-value SEPA payments to go through without a separate verification step. We’ve now put that to work.

If your SEPA payment is under €30, it will usually be sent immediately after you tap Approve – no SMS code, no app confirmation, no passkey. Security hasn’t changed: we’ll still ask you to verify if the payment is €30 or more, if you’ve made five small payments since you last verified one, or once your small payments add up to €100.

International payments: two new local routes

We’ve added two more local payment routes, so money travels through national networks instead of SWIFT – arriving faster and costing less.

Sending GBP to the UK using an IBAN is now routed through UK Faster Payments, making it faster and cheaper. You can also send SEK directly to Swedish banks via low-cost local transfers.

What’s next

We’re continuing to invest in the things that save entrepreneurs time. Expect more AI capabilities across the product, further improvements to the interface and how everything is organised, more invoice management features to smooth out the whole process, and new capabilities coming to accounting.
