Running a business means constantly switching between building, deciding, solving – and handling the admin that quietly sits underneath it all. At Finom, our goal is to make that layer lighter, smarter, and more connected, so your finances don’t slow you down.
Over the past month, we’ve introduced a range of new features like Interest Accounts, Accounting updates, and daily workflows improvements. Some are bigger launches. Others are small but meaningful enhancements that make everyday operations smoother.
Here’s a closer look at what’s new – and where it might make a difference for your business.
Earn interest on your balance (available across markets)
Your business balance doesn’t have to sit idle.
With the new Interest Account, you can earn returns of up to 1.75%, depending on your plan, while keeping full access to your funds at any time.
There’s no need to lock money away or move it between platforms. You simply keep your funds within Finom and let them generate additional value in the background.
For businesses with fluctuating cash flow or temporary reserves, this creates a simple way to make better use of available capital without adding complexity.
Business account with online accountingAccounting that works where you do (Germany, expanding soon)
Finom Accounting is now accessible directly in the mobile app, making it easier to review entries, manage reports, and stay on top of your books wherever you are.
Recent updates include: The ability to generate annual reports for sole proprietors and an accountant workspace, allowing direct collaboration and shared workflow – just invite them into your Finom account team with a dedicated role.
This means managing tasks on the go and less back-and-forth between you and your accountant.
Local payments for Italian businesses (Italy)
For businesses operating in Italy, handling public payments is now much simpler.
In addition to F24 launched previously, you can now pay pagoPA, MAV and RAV directly inside Finom.
There’s no need to switch platforms or rely on external services. Payments can be completed in just a few clicks – including the option to scan a QR code. It’s a small change that removes a surprisingly time-consuming part of day-to-day operations.
Discover AI AccountingInvoicing & expenses, redesigned for clarity (available across markets)
Managing invoices and expenses is something you do constantly, so even small improvements here can make a big difference.
We’ve redesigned key parts of the experience across both mobile and web.
On mobile:
- Your home screen now highlights what needs attention: approvals, receipts, and cash flow.
- Quick actions for transactions (transfer, scan to pay, pay a bill) are easier to access.
- A dedicated section shows missing receipts and pending items, so nothing slips through.
On web:
- A new “Get paid” hub brings together invoices, quotes, and delivery notes.
- Summary cards show what’s overdue, unpaid, or completed at a glance.
- Expenses now have a dedicated page under the new “More” section in the top navigation with document matching, making reconciliation clearer.
The goal is simple: less searching, fewer clicks, and a clearer overview of what’s happening in your finances.
Automate your workflows with Zapier (available across markets)
Many business processes are repetitive – with expanded Zapier integrations, you can now connect Finom with your existing tools and automate these workflows.
New triggers and actions for invoices allow you to sync data across platforms, automate routine updates, and build workflows that run without manual input. Let your systems stay aligned without constant attention.
Learn more about FinomImproved credit conditions (Germany)
We’ve removed the daily maintenance fee (€0.5–1/day) for credit lines, making it easier to use additional funds when needed without worrying about accumulating charges.
This gives you more freedom to manage short-term cash flow, cover unexpected expenses, and invest in growth when opportunities come up.
What’s coming next
We’re continuing to expand Finom in ways that make your financial workflows more connected and easier to manage with a strong focus on local relevance in each market.
More Zapier automations (transactions & balances), additional currencies, and faster delivery and lower costs for USD/GBP payments are coming soon.
Our end-to-end, AI-powered Accounting will be launched for freelancers and micro-entrepreneurs in France in the coming months.
More advanced accounting features, including company-level expense categories and professional tax advisor support as an optional add-on are going to be introduced in Germany.
Fatture in Cloud integration for seamless invoice synchronization is coming to Italy.
A more connected way to run your business
Most of these updates are about reducing manual work, supporting your growth and keeping everything in control in one place. We take on your admin to give you more time to focus on the parts of your business that move it forward. If you haven’t explored these updates yet, they’re already available in your Finom account.
